Photographed on a ferry to Büyükada (“Big Island”) in Istanbul. This photograph was one I almost deleted on the back of the camera, but have had to make it a habit to always wait to see all photos on a big screen before deciding. I actually fell in love with the movement and color of the shot. After living in a very difficult and controlled environment for 8 months, I traveled to Turkey to breathe in the freedom and peace I always feel there. This image encapsulated just that. I took this during my first week there.
